On Monday I went to a great concert- crowded with excited people- from age 5 to age 50. What concert could be so fun for all age groups, still be so original, so rocking, so fun, and so pink? Only AVRIL LAVIGNE.

El lunes (7 de abril) fui a un gran concierto - lleno con gente emocionada de 5 a 50 años). ¿Qué concierto puede ser tan divertido para todas las edades, ser original, bien roquero, y rosa? Pues solo AVRIL Lavigne.

My friend Melissa, and I were so excited to go to Avril Lavigne's concert at the ACC. I was so excited that I dressed up on black high heels, which was not the smartest idea I've ever thought of. I'll tell you about that mistake later.

Mi amiga Melissa y yo estabamos tan emocionadas de ir a ver a Avril Lavigne en concierto en el ACC que yo me super vesti y me puse zapatos de tacon altos, no la mejor idea que he tenido. Te cuento mas adelante.

When we arrived, there were people everyewhere, especially teenage girls like us, dressed in pink and black rocker clothes. We went and got some delicous pizza, and then found our seets. We weren' very close, but were dierctly oposite the stage, so we thought they were good seats. Finally the concert started, and an energetic band ran up onto the stage. The band was called "Boys Like Girls". I hadn't heard a lot of their songs, but they were really cool. They really had good songs, and Melissa and I were jumping all over the place and dancing around to their music. That's where the mistake came in... It's not easy jumping and rocking out when you are wearing black high heels; my feet were hurting quite a bit at the end of the night.

Cuando llegamos, habia gente por todos lados, especialmete niñas adolescentes como nosotros, vestidas de rockeras en rosa o negro. Primero compramos deliciosa pizza y despues encontramos nuestros asientos. No estabamos muy cerca pero directamente opuestos al escenario por lo que nos parecieron excelentes asientos. Finalmente, el concierto comenzo con una banda llena de energia llamada "Boys Like Girls." No habia escuchado muchas de sus canciones pero me parecieron muy cool. Algunas de sus canciones son muy buenas y Melissa y yo brincamos por todos lados bailando con su musica. Alli es donde vino el error... No es facil brincar y rockear cuando tienes zapatos negros de tacon puestos; al final de la noche mis pies me dolian bastante.

Then after an intermission, Avril came out of the stage rising out onto a big huge, pink and balck stage set. She was wearing a black outfit, where EVERYTHING else was pink. The fist song she sang was her mega hit... "Girlfriend" Melissa and I, jumped out of our seats and started screaming the lyrics, and dancing around... I almost toppled onto the people in the seats in front of us. The third song she sang was her first mega hit... "Complicated". Eveyone in the stadium knew the words to this song, and you could hear everyone singing along with Avril.

Despues del intermedio Avril salio a un elevado escenario enorme de colores rosa y negro. Tenia puesto un atuendo negro y todo lo demas era rosa. La primera cancion que canto es el mega hit "Girlfriend." Melissa y yo brincamos de nuestros asientos gritando la letra y bailando...Por poco nos caemos encima de la gente en los asientos frente a nosotros...La tercera cancion fue otro mega hit "Complicated." Todos en la arena sabian la letra y podias escuchar a todos cantando junto con Avril.

Later she sang, "When You're Gone". She played the piano and accompanied herself. Despite her rocker style, Avril is actually a fantastic singer.

Mas adelante canto "When You're Gone," tocando el piano acompañandose sola. No obstante su estilo rockero, Avril es realmente una fabulosa cantante .

Her show was great... And even though I'm not Avril's #1 fan, I really liked her rocking concert!

Su show fue maravilloso...Y aunque no soy la fan #1 de Avril, me super encanto su concierto!

Maddy es mi hija, y la invite a que nos hiciera una reseña del concierto de Avril Lavigne del 7 de abril de 2008. Ms. Lavigne regresa a Toronto en Agosto a cantar en el Molson Amphitheatre.
